REUNION ATTENDANCE IS NOW CLOSED … BUT …
Friday Night May 26th – There are a few of us flying in on Friday and since our reunion is not until Saturday we thought we would get together for a bit Friday night. If anyone would want to stop in to say hi we are planning an informal get together at Jake’s 58 (Casino/Hotel) in Islandia. They have a Happy Hour on Friday from 4-7pm, offering drink specials and $10 appetizers. Then stay and play the slots, electronic table games and more. We will aim for 4pm but with flights … some of us may not get over there until closer to 5pm, we will see.
Update 3/11/23 Back with another update. I have renegotiated with the hotel for a lower attendee quota. For those of you who have submitted your payments so far, thank you – because of you I will accept and move on with this new contract and the REUNION IS ON! It is no longer in jeopardy of a cancellation. There are some compromises and tweaks but it is a miracle that we will be able to still hold the reunion at the same place, time, date. It will be a smaller banquet room and the twist is that, unlike the large banquet room, there will be a cut off of how many the room will accommodate. But no worries, we have plenty of open spaces as of today. I have already received a few more names just this week. Update 2/27/23: PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY MARCH 17TH OR WE WILL NEED TO CANCEL THE REUNION (quota is 50).
