Registration

  • Check in at the registration desk

  • Pick up your welcome bag and badge

  • Bar wristbands for those who requested them

Table Seating

  • There is no assigned seating, sit where you like

Beverages

  • Complimentary soft drinks, water and coffee

  • Show the bartender in the Bistro area your wristband when requesting libations

Music & Dancing

  • We have a DJ for the entire night

  • 60s & 70s have been requested

  • If you have a special song, step up to the DJ with your request

Dinner

  • Dinner buffet will be served from 7-9pm

  • Sheet cake for dessert

Remembering our Departed Classmates

  • We have a special memorial table that has been set up to remember our departed classmates

  • A list of all that we are aware of and a page to add any we were not aware of

  • At this time let’s raise our glasses in remembrance of our departed classmates

Time to Mingle, Laugh, Dance, and Reminisce

  • I am sure there are lots of funny stories of the good old school days – anyone want to share via the mic for us all to hear … lol

  • Maybe you want to share some photos of your children and grandchildren and popular are the grandpups

  • Don’t be shy – let’s dance!

Farewell

  • I’m so glad we had this time together … (love that song Carol Burnett used to sing at the end of her show)

  • Until we meet again – even if it is on Facebook; let’s keep in touch

  • I do visit from time to time and we have met for a lunch “pizza party” or two – maybe a simple informal gathering would be great fun

 

A special tribute table was set up at the reunion honoring our classmates that have passed.

Class of ‘70 – Central Islip High School

Welcome to your 50+ Multi-Class Reunion … we are so glad you could make it. And very glad to have extended classes join us.

The 50th Class Reunion should have happened, and was in the planning stages, back in 2020. But then the pandemic hit and since that time the reunion has been rescheduled three times.

That entailed canceling the hotel banquet space and DJ and then updating our reunion website, Facebook site and info on the Classmates site as well.

We could not meet our banquet requirement numbers but were saved by moving to the smaller meeting room we are in today. Our original banquet room had bar service within the room; we had to make some compromises and the lobby bistro bar is outside our room. Soft drinks, water and coffee are included. For those who requested them, wristbands have been provided to be shown to the bartender when ordering your alcoholic beverages.

There are a few of us behind the scenes keeping it going … with encouragement (sanity checks), getting all the fun things you see here to make this a party! Balloons, welcome kit (frame, lists), custom registration desk table cover, and how about those badges with our senior photos. There were a few that I did not have a senior photo for so we found a few from other yearbooks – how about back to even 9th grade! And what a great Musketeer logo for our reunion. We’ll point out a few of these folks tonight who went the extra mile!

Thank you all for being here and making it all worth it. A smaller group than originally planned – but we are here and we will all have a great time tonight.

Let’s keep in touch after this … anyone up for a get together in Florida? Or if someone wants to host a gathering in the state they live in, I am in (but not planning it lol).
